To Comfort the Uncomfortable

Someone bring me chocolate and wine
the sadness is tugging at my sleeve again
like a child needing comfort and attention

I see you, despair
and I hold your sad face in my palms

Someone draw the despair a bubble bath
and light some sage and candles

There aren’t enough incense sticks
to calm it
but we have to try

Someone bring me my senses
it seems they’re missing again

Let’s put up Lost posters at the corner

Some two

Some three days more until we’ll be able to stop crying

Someone bring the earth sone flowers
She’s crying her leaves again
mourning the season
when we danced naked in the sun
